I can't say how often I hear stories of people who have been scammed trying to purchase an authentic Hermes Birkin on-line. Please do research about the seller before buying any big ticket item. Do not buy into fairy tale stories about how they obtain their Birkins. If you find a Birkin for sale for less than 5k you can be pretty sure it's a scam. You will not find an authentic Birkin for less than retail. A receipt does not guarantee authenticity - the only way to tell if a bag is authentic is by holding it in your hands, and if you have not chosen your seller well, it will be too late once you do this test. Please stick to sellers with strong Ebay feedback and a reputable on-line presence.
